I had fun with this post it took a long time to get a result I liked. It follows in the series I have bee working on with Amoeba. Michelle and I wear talking and decided to ask you to pick the next piece we do as a collab, some people have asked and have a favorite so it's up to you to decide what you would like to see colored next. comments are welcome, thanks,

had a bit of a problem putting the two sheets of paper together at the bottom sorry, i am working to fix it....

the hand thats on the koalas head hmmm thats off and looks flat also the distance between the wrist and elbow to long

pretty good, agree about the hands. and also the spiral things on the tail area are odd looking :) +8

Avatar landeroc

 06/14/06 @162

I think this...it is different and very unique. I do have to agree that one of the hands looks odd. I really like your style and I bet this drawing would rock if someone would give it some colors. Great job! I like it (thumbup) +8

I love how bizzare and diffrent it is. I always will have a soft spot for pencils and the like as well. I havent had much time to lok through your gallery , but I will try this week to do so.

The flower on the top of her head is graphically well put , and interesting.

 06/14/06 @192

I find your sketches very inspiring, I can see how much effort you put into them, this deserves more comments :)
The only feedback I'd have to add is about the arms and hand, there are just too long but they can be easily fixed, because the shape is excellent!
See you then, bye!

Avatar coladelight

 06/14/06 @251

The arms and hand were already mentioned...not sure what the animal is but I think the face needs a bit of work...at the moment it looks pinched, the shadowing on her chest seems out of perspective and why is she scowling?
Just my opinion...walking in the land unknown, she should have an apprehensive expression...but that's just me...:)
I would love to see "sorrow, the essence of loss" in colour ;)
Maridol
PS: Aaron, I'm just wondering if you have a name for your character...your works seems to revolve around her...I think she deserves to be named.

Nice work. I agree with the points made about the arms and hands. I love her hair!

Avatar seeThrou

 06/14/06 @308

took a moment to shorten the arm as mentioned but don't think I did the hand any justice in changing it yet, it looks a little small still. will go back and fix it when time allows. thanks everyone....

Avatar Carpet-Crawler

 06/14/06 @344

Gladd you posted! I like this, the movement above all... the pose of the animal is pretty nice too, and not to mention the nice shaped body of the girl (I love the way yoy did her shoulders!).

I agree with the other guys about the long distance between the hands and the wrists...maybe if you change the position of the arms you could fix that without major problems....i don't know.

Still, another great fantasy picture, very unique like the others. Congrants!

Avatar Traff

 06/14/06 @402

I like the strong composition and the way the body and tail of the cat frames the girl in the image. Her expression looks like she's chewing somebody over, not sure how that fits with the title/story but it's a cool expression anyway. And I like the way she's seated on the cat, sinking right into it's haunches.
If they're coming out of a wet swampy area, maybe there should be a bit more water lapping over the cats paws.. he seems to be standing on top of the water here. Love the very deliberate way he's placing his front paw onto dry land.

the compo is very good although the crop on the right side seems a bit too close. Judging by your specific style alone, I would say this is a big improvement and eventhough it is the same subject matter (girl+furry animals), I think it is rather pleasant...Keep at it Aaron! :)

man, what a nice drawing... Like it. But... the only thing I'll crit is the lack of details in the background. The sky seems a little flat to me... in the front everything looks really good, but in the back... well, at least IMHO.

Congratulations anyway. I would kill in order to draw just as good as that. Drawin's not my thing anyway =\

Avatar besst

oh LORD this is gorgeous. Her headress is so beautiful. I love your creativity.

The only thing I see is that the area where her leg is could use some more detailing...but other than that its perfect. Bravo.

Avatar chickenfingers

 06/19/06 @706

Tight! Every drawing you post is better than the last. This looks very "old aristocratic portrait" to me--but with a twist, 'cause, y'know, she's riding some crazy cool beast. ;p Sometimes the whole direct staring figure thing doesn't work, but I think you nailed it here; she has the perfect expression: pursed lips, stern/fierce face, totally-in-control vibes... :) I would give the tail and tree trunk a touch more dimensionality, but otherwise 'tis magnifique. I very much admire those who can bend a stick of graphite to their will. You seem well-suited to the medium. (thumbup)

Avatar Chickow

 06/19/06 @859

again an excellent artwork! i wish i would be able to draw like you, but hey... I'm happy to draw a more or less "perfect" stickman^^

but there are two things which make me a bit "confused"...

1. the tail of the very cute and fleecy fleece-animal (sooooo fleecy ;-) ) seems to be flat... maybe adding shadows might help^^
2. for me it is a bit strange how the girl is sitting on this animal... like she would sit on its shoulder blades... I don't know, but for me, it would be a bit unpleasent.... maybe if you would push the girl a bit more to the middle of the animal's back...

but it's nice to watch at it... 7/7 points

Kinda hard to think of something not already said here.
This image shows your lines are getting more defined. You're obviously putting (intentional or not) more detail overall. Aswell in the background as in the characters. We can really see what's going on in the picture without it going all to a blur of shapes, lines and shadows.
I think you're getting more close creating a little world around the charachters.
Besides some anatomical errors: thumbup for the above.

Really loving this picture (came back for a second look and a proper vote + comment XD ) I love the amount of detail you put into it, especially since they're the kinds of detail that wouldn't even occur to someone like me (my imagination is in desperate need of a spanking XD ) Great work!
